The 5th World Coffee Conference is organized by the International Coffee Organization (ICO) in collaboration with the Coffee Board of India, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Karnataka Government, and the Coffee Industry. This event marks the first time a global coffee conference of such scale is being held in India and Asia.

5th World Coffee Conference participants and theme
With the participation of industry leaders, experts, exporters, traders, coffee chain owners, growers, roasters, enthusiasts, and students, the WCC 2023 is poised to be a pivotal event in the coffee world. The conference is expected to draw over 2,400 delegates, 117 speakers, 208 exhibitors, and 10,000 visitors, and facilitate over 300 B2B meetings, representing more than 80 countries.
The central theme of the event, ‘Sustainability Through Circular Economy and Regenerative Agriculture’, underscores the conference’s dedication to supporting the backbone of the coffee industry – the farmers. The discussions will revolve around creating pathways to benefit coffee farmers who play a vital role in the coffee production chain.
Beyond its emphasis on sustainability, the WCC 2023 aims to foster stronger relationships among coffee-producing and consuming nations. It serves as a platform for promoting international coffee trade and mutual understanding among stakeholders.
World Coffee Conference activities, inauguration, and coffee museum
The 5th World Coffee Conference promises a diverse range of activities including panel discussions, workshops, competitions, and coffee tastings. Additionally, an exhibition will showcase unique coffee products and services by providing networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, retailers, and coffee businessmen.
One of the highlights of the event will be the Coffee Museum. It will feature a striking dome-shaped structure. Here, visitors will have the opportunity to explore coffee plantations from India and witness the fascinating journey of a coffee bean from its source to the cup.
The conference will be inaugurated by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, underscoring the government’s commitment to the growth and prosperity of the coffee industry.
