FC Barcelona Femení’s Alexia Putellas has been awarded the Women’s Ballon d’Or 2021. The 27-year-old Spaniard was selected out of the 20-player list for the award. Alexia Putellas is the captain of Primera División club Barcelona and plays as a midfielder in the Spain national team. Putellas joined FC Barcelona Femení in 2012 after playing for Espanyol and Levante.
