Similar to other years, this year’s competition will also feature a star-studded roster, featuring top-tier talents.
2025 WNBA All-Star Game format
This year’s All-Star Game will continue the tradition of the top two players with the highest votes getting to serve as team captains. Caitlin Clark, who was the 2024 Rookie of the Year, and Napheesa Collier, who was the 2024 Defensive Player of the Year, have both earned the honor of serving as team captains this year. The two players will draft their squads from a pool of 22 other All-Stars.
2025 WNBA All-Star Game date and venue
The highly anticipated 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, July 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. PT). The Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, which is the home of the Indiana Fever and the NBA’s Pacers, will serve as the competition venue.

Prior to the competition, the league announced the starters on Monday, June 30, during the debut of “Vibe Check” on Disney+. Given below is the list of the 10 starters selected through a mix of fan (50%), player (25%), and media (25%) voting:

As All-Star captains, Clark and Collier will draft their rosters during an hourlong WNBA Countdown on July 8 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) and they will first select from the pool of eight starters, followed by the pool of 12 reserves.
2025 WNBA All-Star Game reserves
The WNBA is set to announce the reserves for the upcoming tournament on Sunday, July 6, at 12 p.m. ET. The league’s 13 head coaches are set to vote and select the 12 remaining All-Stars, regardless of conference. Notably, each coach must choose three guards, five frontcourt players, and four wild cards. Coaches will not be allowed to vote for their own players.
