The whole player roster for the July 10 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago in 2022 has just been made public. The league on Tuesday released the reserves, who are led by No. 1 overall choice Rhyne Howard and reigning Finals MVP Kahleah Copper. The starters and captains had already been chosen.
WNBA All-star Game Schedule, Date, Time, Streaming Details, And Head Coach
Following the announcement of all the players, the All-Star draft will take place on July 2 at 3:00 PM ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN. On Sunday, July 10, the WNBA All-Star 2022 between Team Wilson and Team Stewart will take place at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, the home of the reigning champion Chicago Sky. At 1:00 PM ET, ABC will broadcast live coverage of the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game in 2022. The tickets for the much-anticipated clash can be purchased from here.
The positions of head coaches for the AT&T WNBA All-Star 2022 have been won by Las Vegas head coach Becky Hammon and Chicago head coach James Wade. Through June 24, Las Vegas had secured the best record in the WNBA. Hammon and the Aces’ coaching staff will guide Team Wilson. Team Stewart will be led by Wade, whose Sky has the second-best record through June 24., and the Chicago staff.
WNBA All-Star Game Captains, List of Starting Players, And Reserve Players
The 12 reserves for the 2022 WNBA All-Star Game, picked by the league’s coaches, were revealed on Tuesday, completing the roster’s 22-player cap. The two teams will choose their rosters from the pool on Saturday at 3:00 PM ET, under the leadership of captains A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart, as well as their respective co-captains Sue Bird and Sylvia Fowles. Following the most fan votes, Wilson and Stewart were selected as captains. The WNBA appointed Bird and Fowles, who have declared their retirement at the conclusion of the 2022 season, as their co-captains.
These players will be joined by a number of second-time All-Stars, including Skylar Diggins-Smith, Courtney Vandersloot, and Jewell Loyd, as well as rookie Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream, who was selected first overall in this year’s draft.
