Hosts Republic of Korea concluded Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024 with two gold medals in under an hour on the final day. Koreans secured victory in the figure skating team event at Gangneung Ice Arena, before Lee Chaeun earned gold in the men’s snowboard halfpipe event minutes later at Welli Hilli Park, marking a thrilling afternoon for the home fans.

Germany secured their ninth gold at the start of day 13, triumphing in the cross-country skiing mixed team relay title in Alpensia, with France taking silver and Switzerland securing third place. The final medals of Gangwon 2024 were presented in the curling mixed doubles competition, where Great Britain clinched gold by defeating Denmark in the final.

A total of 81 medal events took place at nine competition venues in Gangneung, PyeongChang, Hoengseong, and Jeongseon, utilizing seven of the 12 facilities employed for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.
