William Saliba injury is “worse than first feared,” so he will definitely miss Arsenal’s Premier League game on Sunday against Crystal Palace, know his latest update
Mikel Arteta finally gave the 21-year-old his chance to play for the first team at the start of the season. Since then, he has been an important part of his team’s unlikely title challenge.
William Saliba injury update today, news, return date and history ahead of FPL GW 28
William Saliba had to leave Thursday’s Europa League loss to Sporting Lisbon after just 21 minutes, but Mikel Arteta said that he thought his center-back had only suffered a minor injury. The former Saint-Etienne defender did not show up to practise on Saturday, and RMC says he will be out for a few weeks.
L’Equipe (via The Sun) have reported that William Saliba could be out for ‘several weeks’ due to a back injury and the defender has also reportedly withdrawn from the French national team for the upcoming international break.

If that were to happen, William Saliba would have to leave the France team before their next Euro 2024 qualifying games against Holland and Ireland.
Arsenal’s injury concerns for Crystal Palace Clash
Arsenal plays Crystal Palace tomorrow, which is in danger of going down. Rob Holding is likely to fill in for William Saliba, who won’t play again until April 1 against Leeds United. Arteta will, however, be able to call on both Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard. Jesus made his first start for his club since November, and he did not get hurt. Trossard, on the other hand, did get hurt.

Since coming from Brighton in January, the Belgium international has been a big surprise. However, he was expected to be out until after the international break because he hurt himself against Bournemouth earlier this month.
Trossard returns strong from injury
Last weekend, Trossard surprised everyone by coming back to play against Fulham. He had three assists in a 3-0 win during a very strong first half. The 28-year-old looked like he was in pain at the end of Thursday’s game. He took part in all of Saturday’s training and will try to get a start.

Takehiro Tomiyasu also got hurt against Sporting, but Arsenal hasn’t said what’s going on with him yet. The former Bologna defender left the Emirates on crutches, so the outlook isn’t good.
“I don’t know. Tomiyasu looks pretty serious from his reaction straight away and what he said to me, but obviously it’s very early,” said Arteta in the aftermath of his side’s penalty shootout defeat.
