In a message to the school community on Friday, March 17, a spokesperson for Ohio State University confirmed that Meacock had died. Even though no one knows what caused Henry Meacock’s death, the university sent its condolences to his family and friends.
Henry Meacock, who hails from New Jersey and was studying at Ohio State died during vacation in Mexico. He was a finance major student.
Students at Ohio State are being told to use the Student Life Counseling and Consultation Service if they are having a hard time.
Ellie Meacock, who was Henry Meacock’s younger sister, wrote a touching tribute to her brother on social media to show how sad she was. “My baby brother, I can’t believe it. Words cannot describe how much I miss you. It hurts to breathe without you. You are an extremely special soul that will live on forever. The most beautiful boy inside and out. Nobody will ever have a smile quite like yours.”
Burke, on the other hand, seems to be getting better. Burke had a brain haemorrhage while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas. She needed emergency surgery to remove part of her skull, and she was put on life support. Burke was flown back to the United States after a successful GoFundMe campaign.

She is now getting care at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Burke’s mother lives in Jacksonville. The campaign started by a family friend was able to raise more than $138,000 to pay for her medical bills.
The Ohio State community is sad about Henry Meacock’s death. They are helping those who have been hurt by these tragedies. Spring break is supposed to be a time for students to rest and unwind, but for some, it has become a very sad time.
