More than three months back the Government of India (GOI) sanctioned the removal of the Battlegrounds Mobile India from all virtual stores.
The GOI imposed a temporary ban on the popular Battle Royale game under Section 69A of the IT Act.
PUBG Mobile 2.3 Update Set For Release
PUBG Mobile, which is the global variant of BGMI, is expected to receive a 2.3 update, which will go live in the next month. Some fans have already gained access to the beta version. This has prompted many users to speculate whether the 2.3 Update will also launch for BGMI.
However, the chances are pretty slim. One of the main reasons is because BGMI did not receive even the previous update. BGMI players did not get the chance to even experience a 2.2 Update as well as the latest Royale Pass.
Ironically, BGMI was created to replace PUBG Mobile after the GOI banned it, however, BGMI also got banned eventually.
Will There Be A BGMI 2.3 Update
The GOI still hasn’t lifted the ban on ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’. This is one of the main reasons why players will possible not get to experience a 2.3 update next month. Currently, BGMI players are still continuing the previous season’s items.
Until Krafton clarifies anything or provides an update on the ban or a possible update, nothing can be speculated for sure.
BGMI players should note that any information about release dates for the BGMI 2.3 update on the internet are false. Fans can however, continue playing the game with the existing features. However, new in-game additions are highly unlikely in the near future.
As such, the possibility of a 2.3 Update for BGMI is considerably low due to the above stated factors.
