On Tuesday, February 13, Twomad was discovered unconscious at his residence following a welfare check by the authorities due to worries about the YouTuber’s location.
There was cause for concern because the content creator had been missing for days. Those who knew him well were concerned for his safety because he had allegedly skipped a number of appointments.

Who is Etika?
Desimond Daniel Amofah, popularly known as Etika, was an American online streamer and YouTuber who was born on May 12, 1990 in Brooklyn, New York City. He died on June 19, 2019 aged 29 in East River, New York City.
In addition to playing and reacting to a wide range of games, he became well-known on the internet for reacting enthusiastically to Super Smash Bros. character trailers and Nintendo Direct presentations. He was the son of Owuraku Amofah, a politician from Ghana.
Amofah began working online in 2007 and launched his primary YouTube channel, “EWNetwork” (Etika World Network), in 2012. The Nintendo Switch controller, the Joy-Con, inspired the moniker “JOYCONBOYZ” for his fan group.

After Super Smash Bros. 4 came out, he became well-known mostly because of his videos where he discussed news about the game. He posted reaction videos, pre-recorded content, and gameplay reviews of several video games.
The American had more than 1.3 million platform subscribers and more than 145 million views on his videos.
Etika was suffering from mental health issues
On his YouTube account, Etika was purported to have shared unsettling videos about mental health and death. He had uploaded an apologetic video prior to his death in which he acknowledged feeling suicidal and struggling with mental illness. He wrote, as per The Sun:
I’ve lived an incredible life filled with thrills and happiness.
He further stated:
Even though I always was an odd ball out, I used that as my strength and brought together an incredible community of insane wild bois just like me.
“God I’ll miss you all so much.
He continued by saying that his time was now over, but if it was possible, he would give all his best wishes from the afterlife. The platform later removed the video for violating Community Guidelines.”
What was Etika’s cause of death?
On June 19, 2019, Etika committed suicide on the East River in New York City. The YouTuber is thought to have drowned after jumping off the Manhattan Bridge, according to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner.
On June 24, 2019, his body was found alongside an assumed-to-be backpack and phone.
