Age 56 Yolanda Hill Robinson is an American accountant and non-profit executive who was born in 1968, in Ramseur, North Carolina, U.S. She is the wife of Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, and has served as the Second Lady of North Carolina ever since 2021. Yolanda is notably the first African-American woman to serve as the state’s second lady.
Education
Robinson attended Eastern Randolph High School and graduated in 1986. She then attended the University of North Carolina where she graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting.
Marriage and children
Yolanda Hill Robinson is currently married to North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Keith Robinson. The pair tied the knot on May 5, 1990, in a private ceremony, and currently have a son and daughter together. The family lives together in Colfax, a suburb of High Point.

Back in 1990, Yolanda Hill Robinson worked as a co-manager of a childcare facility alongside her husband. She later went on to establish a company called Balanced Nutrition, Inc., which is a non-profit organization that provides all kinds of healthy meals for children who are enrolled in licensed daycare facilities across North Carolina. Yolanda currently still owns and operates the company herself.
Aside from this, she is a board member of Revolution Academy, which is a K-8 charter school located in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. Yolanda is also a board member of the American Leadership Academy North Carolina since the spring of 2022. She also holds the same role along with two of its affiliated charter schools.

Yolanda Hill Robinson is currently embroiled in the middle of controversy after the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) completed an investigation into her nonprofit earlier this year. According to the agency’s report, the second lady owes a massive sum of $132,000 to the state.
The NC DHHS also charged Hill Robinson with “serious deficiencies” in managing federal fund along with the fine. According to the reports from the investigators, Hill Robinson violated federal law after he failed to disclose that his wife is among the nonprofit’s top earners. Following this revelation, the agency has laid down the decision to shut down the charity.
