K.S. Bhagawan is a man who prefers translating Julius Caesar and Hamlet, the famous works of William Shakespeare, and chooses to adore Western culture over Indian mythologies. Hindus’ sentiments, gods, and beliefs have yet again been hurt by a man whose name itself is “Bhagawan.” Know who this writer and retired professor is, who seeks fame by insulting religion.
Who is K.S. Bhagawan?
K. S. Bhagawan was born on July 14, 1945, in Kalahalli. Bhagawan managed to earn his post-graduation degree in the English language from the University of Mysore. He worked as a professor at Maharaja’s College in Mysore. While working there, he worked as a part-time writer and translator.
His collection of writings on how Adi Shankara, an 8th-century Hindu philosopher, fiercely supported the caste system, destroyed Buddhist viharas, and opposed education for women, Shudras, and Dalits was published in 1982 under the title Shankaracharya and Reactionary Philosophy.
Searching For Fame With His Baseless Claims
On February 15, 2015, Bhagawan declared that he would burn several pages of the Bhagavad Gita during a gathering in Mysore. According to him, the holy book calls women, vaishyas, and Shudras “sinners” [paapayonaha] in verses 32 and 33 of chapter 9.
In 2019, he published the second edition of his work, “Rama Mandira Yeke Beda,” and portrayed both Lord Rama and Goddess Sita in a negative light. Furthermore, “Rama Mandira Yeke Beda?” and Mahanthappa Nandur Hubbali’s “Arive Pramanu” were also chosen for the Srimati Amaramma Sri Channabasavappa Bettaduru Pratishtana, Raichur, the award for the best work on rationalism and Vachana literature.
He attended Jamaat-e-Islami-Hind in 2018, which was titled “Prophet Mohammed is the greatest guide for mankind.” There he again said that in Christian, Muslim, and Buddhist religions, a man can perform religious rituals, and he hated the Hindu religion for the same. He further said that only fanatics follow one religion and mislead society.
His Image For Lord Rama
He said derogatorily, “Ram would spend the afternoon with Sita and the remainder of the day drinking. Sita, his wife, was abandoned in the wilderness after he put her there. He beheaded Shudra Shambuka, who was performing penance beneath a tree. How can he be an idol?”
Bhagwan has already expressed unpopular opinions about Lord Ram. He asserted similar things in 2019, claiming that Sita was forced to drink “intoxicants” by Lord Ram in the past. Due to his contentious views, the rationalist has drawn the ire of right-wing organisations.
For hurting sentiments, playing with mythological facts, and mocking and passing derogatory comments on Hindu gods, one FIR was lodged.
The source of this BS is written where Mr KS bhagawan? Also tell where its written in chapter 9 verse 32/33 of Bhagvad Gita that vaisyas and shudras are papyoni? The verse describes anyone discriminated by birth, caste or gender reaches highest goal by taking shelter of supreme
