Meanwhile, Dax’s wife Veronica Rocio Bautista was arrested in the hours following her husband’s passing.

As per a report by Variety, the spokesperson of the NYPD’s public information office revealed that the wife of ABC News executive producer was nabbed under the 2 charges of child endangerment hours after Tejera’s death on December 23.
Who is Veronica Rocio Bautista?
For those who are unfamiliar with Veronica Rocio Bautista, let us tell you, she is the daughter of Rocio Bautista and José C Bautista, who is a project manager under the Salazar and Associates company.
The 33-year-old’s mother is a school teacher in Howell, New Jersey. Veronica completed her graduation from Penn State.
Earlier, in 2019, Veronica worked as a producer for “CNN Right Now With Brianna Keilar.” She and Dax met back in 2013 in New York with the help of a mutual friend.
Soon afterwards, the two started dating and walked down the aisle on August 3, 2019 at the La Catedral de Santa Catalina de Alejandría in Cartagena, Colombia.
Coming back to the arrest of Veronica, let us tell you, hours after her husband’s death, Tejera was booked by the officials reportedly on two counts of “acting in a manner injurious to a child.”
A spokesperson of the New York Police department revealed to the media outlet Variety that they responded to 50 Vanderbilt Avenue in Manhattan at around 11:00 P.M. on December 23 after they received a report about “unattended children.”
As per a report by Variety, Initial investigation revealed that the 2 children, a 2 year old girl and a 5 month old girl were left all alone inside of a hotel room “for an extended period of time.”
As per a report by authorities, after her arrest Tejera was handed a desk ticket appearance. For those who are unsure, let us tell you, a desk ticket requires a person to appear in a criminal court at an undisclosed future date.
