Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that Kiki Iriafen, a transfer from Stanford Cardinal, will play for USC next season with one year left on her eligibility.

She will now play for the Trojans, who advanced to the Elite Eight before losing to UConn by a narrow margin, alongside standout guard JuJu Watkins.

Who is Kiki Iriafen?

Kiki Iriafen is a college basketball player who plays as a forward for USC Trojans as the team joins Big Ten Conference after the ongoing season. She stands 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) tall and was born in Los Angeles, California, United States.

She was born on November 30, 2002 and is aged 21.

Her parents are Yemi and Harrison Iriafen and they are from Nigeria. She has two younger siblings who are Shuby and Oyinkan.

In 2021, she graduated from the Harvard-Westlake School in Studio City, California. Okikiola “Kiki” Iriafen is now a Nigerian-American college basketball player for the USC Trojans.

A look at Kiki Iriafen’s career so far

Recently, Kiki Iriafen had a terrific junior season, shooting 54.6% from the floor and averaging 19.4 points and 11 rebounds per game while starting all 36 games. Compared to her sophomore season, when she started 27 of 35 games and averaged just 12.1 minutes, this was a notable change.

Her efforts paid off when she was named the 2024 Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year. Against Iowa State in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, she scored a career-high 41 points.

Some of her career highlights include Katrina McClain Award (2024), Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year (2024), All-Pac-12 Team (2024), Pac-12 All-Freshman Team – Media (2022) and McDonald’s All-American (2021).

Talking about her highschool career, Iriafen was an athlete at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles. She grabbed two Los Angeles Daily News Player of the Year honours as a senior in addition to being named a McDonald’s All-American.

In her junior year, she clinched Division 1 Player of the Year and guided her squad to the CIF Southern Section Division 1 title. Talking about her college career, in her sophomore year, she averaged 6.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game and became one of Stanford’s best players as a junior.

Iriafen concluded her final season of college in her hometown of Los Angeles before transfering to USC, via the NCAA transfer site. She’s now exiting Stanford after three seasons to return home to Los Angeles.
