Career
Campbell started his career with Manchester City’s Academy but opted to sign a contract with Stoke City in the summer of 2016, with a tribunal setting his transfer fee at £1.75 million.
He proved to be a prolific goalscorer for Stoke’s under-18s during the 2016–17 season, helping them reach the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.
Following impressive performances in training, Campbell was promoted to train with Stoke’s first team in February 2018 under manager Paul Lambert.
Campbell made his professional debut on February 24, 2018, in a Premier League match against Leicester City, ending in a 1–1 draw.
He made several substitute appearances that season as Stoke faced relegation to the EFL Championship. Campbell’s first start came on January 15, 2019, in an FA Cup match against Shrewsbury Town, where he scored twice in a 3–2 defeat.
