According to various sources who spoke with ESPN on Monday, Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter is the subject of an NBA investigation after a number of instances of betting irregularities over the previous few months.
An ESPN story claims that during the Raptors’ losses to the Los Angeles Clippers on January 26 and the Sacramento Kings on March 20, an unidentified gambler or gamblers placed sizable wagers on individual statistics including points, rebounds, assists, and three-pointers.

Jontay Porter is an American professional basketball player who was born on November 15, 1999 in Columbia, Missouri, U.S. The 24-year-old stands 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) tall. He plays for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Raptors 905 of the NBA G League on a two-way contract.

Playing for the Father Tolton Regional Catholic High School in their hometown of Columbia, Missouri, Jontay began his high school career. On November 10, 2017, Porter made his debut for the season in a 74โ59 victory over Iowa State University. He scored 11 points and pulled down 8 rebounds in a rout over Wagner College 99โ55, three days after making his debut.
Against the University of Georgia, Porter scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in his first start of the 2018โ19 season on January 10, 2018, as Missouri defeated them 68โ56.
