The United Football League, resulting from the union of the USFL and XFL, is soon to make its debut.
The UFL announced on-field rules for its debut season, confirming that the kickoff will look more like a typical formation than the unconventional one employed in the XFL.
NFL decision-makers had taken notice of the XFL kickoff and were wanting to bring back their own kickoff model. However, during the XFL-USFL merger talks that resulted in the formation of the UFL, “some of us felt was important” a traditional kickoff, according to UFL football operations chief Daryl Johnston in a statement to ESPN.

Like the USFL did in 2022 and 2023, UFL kickers will line up at the 20-yard line, which will restrict and potentially eliminate the possibility of touchbacks. As the 1st edition is all set to begin, here is all you need to know.
When and where will the 2024 UFL be held?
On Saturday, March 30, the UFL, which was formed by combining the XFL and USFL, will debut with a huge game involving the winners of both leagues: Arlington Renegades & Birmingham Stallions. Check out the full schedule below:
