Nathaniel Jasper Dell Jr., known as Tank Dell, is an American football wide receiver who was born on October 29, 1999, in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. He joined the NFL in 2023 after getting drafted in the third round as the 62nd overall pick and plays for the Houston Texans. He is currently 24 years old. Dell attended Mainland High School during his childhood and started out playing football at a very young age.

Tank Dell is just one of the many people who recently got shot on Saturday, April 27, 2024, during a late-night mass shooting at a Florida restaurant and event venue. Dell was reportedly in town visiting his family and friends, before getting caught in the cross-fire.
According to reports, a 16-year-old boy named Christopher Bouie Jr. shot 10 people at an event venue in Florida. Reports indicate that the teen was allegedly part of a fist fight that turned violent. Thankfully, security officials quickly tackled Bouie Jr. just seconds after he started shooting, which prevented further damage. Authorities have reportedly booked him into a nearby Juvenile Detention center, where they are currently holding him.
They have arrested him on charges of attempted homicide, discharging a firearm on public property, display, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, along with possession of a firearm by a minor. Authorities transported 10 victims, including Dell, to a nearby hospital to treat the gunshot wounds.
Following the incident, the Houston Texans released a statement on X, stating:
We have been made aware that Tank Dell was a victim of a shooting in Sanford, Florida last night. He sustained a minor wound but has been released from the hospital and he is in good spirits. We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Out thought and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”
Dell has previously suffered a broken fibula back in 2023 but quickly recovered following the Texans’ offseason conditioning program and additional throwing and training sessions.
