Guillermo Cuadra Fernandez is a Spanish football referee who was born on April 25, 1984, in Madrid, Spain. He is currently 40-years-old and officiates in the La Liga, having previously worked as a teacher of English and physical education. Notably, Guillermo has had many questionable and bad calls in the past and has been a FIFA referee since 2020. He is currently ranked as a UEFA second category referee.

Guillermo Cuadra Fernández obtained his education from Concepcionistas Misoneras de la Enseñanza and the Colegio la Inmaculada Hortaleza.
Refereeing career
Guillermo Cuadra Fernández started out his officiating career with the Segunda División B in 2013. He eventually joined the Segunda División in 2015 before finally getting to officiate in the La Liga in 2018. He officiated his first La Liga match back on August 17, 2018 during a clash between Girona and Valladolid. By 2020, Guillermo officially featured on the FIFA referees list.
Guillermo officiated his first UEFA club competition match on September 17, 2020, during a clash between Swedish club IFK Göteborg and Danish club Copenhagen. It was a second qualifying round match during the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League.
The following year in 2021, Guillermo Cuadra Fernández got selected as a referee for the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. He came in as replacement for fellow compatriot Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea, after he tested positive for COVID-19. Guillermo also served as a FIFA Video Assistant Referee on April 23, 2021 for the 2020 Summer Olympics. He has since gone on to officiate matches across several tournament and competitions, and remained a regular in La Liga.
