The best bowlers in South Africa were the speed pair of Kwena Maphaka (3/32) and Tristan Luus (3/37). Having each finished their allotted overs with three overs left and 19 runs required, both combined to cause India’s top-order collapse. Tristan dismissed Musheer Khan, Arshin Kulkarni, and Priyanshu Moliya in the opening 12 overs to reduce the visitors to 32/4.

However, these were not enough to end the game in their favour. India is currently in their fifth consecutive final, where they will be facing the victor of Pakistan against Australia on Thursday. Before being run out with the scores tied at Willowmoore Park, Indian skipper Uday Saharan scored a cool 81 to bring his team this close to victory.

The game ended when Raj Limbani struck the following ball for four. In response to South Africa’s 244 for seven, Saharan and Sachin Dhas (96) helped India escape from a perilous 32 for four. For the fifth wicket, they scored 171 runs.
