Kenya’s Collins Jumaisi Khalusha was being held at a police station in Nairobi after his arrest in July when 10 dismembered bodies were found.
Collins Jumaisi Khalusha escapes prison
A Kenyan murder suspect named Collins reportedly escaped from the Gigiri Police Station along with 12 other men. The group of convicts escaped by cutting through a wire mesh around 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning. After cutting through the mesh, the group then climbed a perimeter wall to eventually escape the police station.
Aside from Collins, the other 12 escaped convicts are reportedly Eritreans whom police arrested for illegal emigration into Kenya. Authorities are now considering them all as a threat to the public. Before the escape, Khalusha was due to enter a plea yesterday, on Friday, and stand trial to the charges of murdering six women.

Age 33 Collins Jumaisi Khalusha is a murder suspect hailing from Malovu village, in Vihiga County, Kenya who recently escaped custody from a Kenya police station alongside 12 other convicted prisoners. According to reports, Khalusha is a former motorcycle taxi driver and accused of killing his own wife as well. Due to his shocking actions, he was dubbed as Kenya’s worst serial killer. Police had arrested psychopath killer Khalusha earlier this year in July after authorities discovered several bodies and different body parts wrapped in plastic sacks along the capital city of Nairobi.
His lawyer is John Maina Ndegwa.
Collins Jumaisi Khalusha accused of killing 42 women
Earlier this year, police arrested Khalusha for allegedly killing 42 women to which he later confessed. However, his lawyer, John Maina Ndegwa, disputed the confession, and claimed that Khalusha was tortured to make the confession.
John Maina Ndegwa, told the BBC earlier this year in July:
He says he was strangled to confess. You could tell he was in distress, terrified and in anguish.”
Alongside Khalusha, authorities also arrested two other suspects, who were found with cell phones that belonged to some of the murdered women. According to reports, police found the bodies in the Kware area of Nairobi after the relatives of a missing woman claimed to have seen a dream where the victim guided them to a disused quarry located in the Mukuru slum.
Following which a local diver searched the area and eventually found the bodies wrapped up in sacks. Authorities conducted a DNA testing and managed to identify six of the victims, while the body parts of three other women remain unidentified. According to the official police reports, the victims were between the ages of 18 and 30 years. Notably, the quarry was located just about a 100 meters away from a police station.
According to reports, Collins Jumaisi Khalusha and his co-accused Amos Momanyi, and Moses Ogembo were to remain in custody until August 26. As of now, the prosecution is still going through the exhibits, and continuing investigations to bring in more charges.
