Seema Gautam was a Dalit woman who recently became the victim of love jihad. She was murdered by her lover after she refused to convert to Islam.

She was a native of Paliakalan, Lakhimpur. She was a front desk employee at the Dr. Shroff Eye Charitable Hospital in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

She first met Naved at her job. In order to lure Seema Gautam into his love trap, Naved pretended to be a Hindu. As the bond between them grew, the two started living together in a rented home in Shahjahanpur. Soon, she became pregnant with Naved’s child.

However, Naved wanted to convert her. When Seema refused to do this, he poisoned her. According to the Shahjanpur police, Naved initially said that the victim was his wife, Zoya Siddiqui, when he took her to the hospital with his assistant Farhan. However, he revealed the truth when he was seriously interrogated. He said that the victim’s true name was Seema Gautam and that they had been living together for the previous 1.5 years.
