Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj was sworn in as a minister on Thursday by Delhi Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena. He has been given the ministries of health, water, industry, and urban development in the Delhi administration.
In addition to him, Atishi, another AAP MLA, was also sworn in as a minister and given the ministries of education, public works, power, and tourism.

The appointments come after the resignations of Delhi’s deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and minister Satyendar Jain, who are currently in Tihar jail facing corruption and money laundering allegations.
President Droupadi Murmu accepted their resignations and appointed Bharadwaj and Atishi as ministers in the Delhi administration led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after they left two Cabinet positions vacant.

Saurabh Bhardwaj is a well-known Indian politician. He has been in the news because he was recently inducted into the cabinet of the Delhi government.
He was born on December 12, 1979, in New Delhi. His father’s name is Rajender Pal, while his mother’s name is not known.
He completed his schooling at the local school in New Delhi. Afterward, he studied computer science engineering at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Faculty of Engineering. In 2011, he also finished his law bachelor’s degree at Osmania University.
He is married, and his wife’s name is Shivani Bhardwaj. There is no information on if he has siblings or not.

His career
Saurabh Bhardwaj had experience with microchips and coding while working for Johnson Controls India before entering politics. At Invensys, Bhardwaj began his career as a software developer. In 2013, he dumped his career as a software engineer to join politics. He eventually joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
In the 2013 and 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, Saurabh Bhardwaj contested and won the Greater Kailash assembly constituency on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ticket. During the 49-day tenure of the Arvind Kejriwal government in 2013–14, he served as a cabinet minister.
He was also appointed as the Chief Spokesperson for the Delhi unit of the AAP in 2017. In the 2020 Delhi election, he again becomes an MLA from Greater Noida, for the third time.
