Gabriel Bortoleto is a Brazilian Formula 1 driver who was born on October 14, 2004, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He currently drives for the Kick Sauber Formula 1 team for the 2025 F1 season. Gabriel started racing karts at the age of six and soon committed fully to becoming an F1 race car driver. Career and achievements
Gabriel started out his racing career in karting at the young age of six. Back in 2020, he made his debut in the Italian F4 Championship, where he scored his first podium at Mugello. He competed in F4 and Formula Regional races from 2021 to 2022, before signing with Fernando Alonso’s A14 management company.
Under Alonso’s mentorship, Bortoleto made his debut in Formula 3 with MP Motorsport in 2022, where he finished 15th in the season standings. The following year, he won the Formula 3 Drivers’ Championship, where he secured his first major FIA title win. Last year, in 2024, Bortoleto joined Invicta Racing and secured the Formula 2 Drivers’ Championship. Bortoleto finally joined the F1 earlier this year, with the Kick Sauber team.
