For the unversed, adult content creater Jay Hefner, whose real name was Saiveon Hopkins, passed away while protecting his cousin in a shooting incident, as per the statement given by Hopkins’ family members.
The heartbreaking incident took place on Sunday in Lincoln, Nebraska. The family of Saiveon Hopkins described the incident as a “senseless act of gun violence.”

The 24-year-old had reportedly traveled from his home in Ontario, Canada to Lincoln to celebrate a loved one’s birthday.
The deceased family has established a GoFundMe Page for Saiveon Hopkins and explained that the adult star passed away “trying to protect his cousin from physical violence.”
A close friend of Saiveon Hopkins, popularly known as Jay Hefner’s mother Jeni Brown, wrote on Hopkins’ GoFundMe Page that, “It’s never easy to lose a loved one, but losing a child is the most painful loss one can ever experience.”

What Exactly Happened?
The tragic incident took place around 1:30 a.m. when officers received reports of a fight. After reaching the scene, the authorities found two men with gunshot wounds, who were then immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
However, Jay Hefner aka Saiveon Hopkins, succumbed to his injuries despite receiving immediate life-saving measures. The adult star passed away around 5:37 in the morning, as per the officials.
The other man identified in his 40s, is reportedly in a stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. Saiveon Hopkins’ was identified by his family as well as an adult film production company.

As of now, the investigators are investigating the case and seeking more information about the tragic shooting.
Meanwhile, in another update two other unrelated shootings took place in Lincoln on Saturday night, however, no further fatalities were reported.
Reportedly, Saiveon Hopkins is survived by his 10-month-old daughter, his girlfriend Madeline, his siblings and his mother.
At the time of writing this article, the fundraiser has raised $25,710 to support Saiveon Hopkins’ family, who are reportedly already under financial strain due to his mother’s medical expenses.
The tragic news of Hopkins’ demise comes a year after he received an award in the adult film industry and completed a degree in dentistry.
