Keon Tyrese Ellis is an American professional basketball player who was born on January 8, 2000, in Eustis, Florida, USA. He was born to Jeremy Evans and Montea Ellis, and has two brothers, named Antwan Clayton and Kavon Ellis. He also has a sister named Mone’k Clayton. He currently plays as a guard for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association. Notably, his brother Clayton, also played basketball at Jacksonville University.

Keon started out playing basketball for his local high school before transferring to Leesburg High School as a junior. While there, he led the team to back-to-back state titles in 2017 and 18. After graduating from high school, Keon Ellis joined Florida Southwestern State College, where he played college basketball from 2018–20.
Ellis still holds the record of scoring 562 points and 64 steals, which is the most in a single season in the school’s history. He also holds the record of FSW’s all-time steals leader with 114 steals. During his junior season, Ellis decided to go with Alabama over Iowa State, Kansas State, and Western Kentucky. His performances got him named to the SEC All-Defensive Team, with an average of 8.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and .458 field goal percentage.
During the 2021–22 season, Keon Ellis was the only player in the team to have started in all 33 games. Despite all this success and achievement, Ellis went undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft.

Despite playing a limited number of games, Ellis has had a major impact on the Kings’ defense and has further established that role this season.
