The 77-year-old tweeted a picture of his hand touching the Brazilian flag with the word “democracy” inscribed on it following the victory. He will oath on January 1. In the runoff election, Lula beat Bolsonaro with 50.9% of the vote to Bolsonaro’s 49.1%.

Who Is Rosângela Silva?
Rosângela Silva is a well-known Brazilian sociologist and left-wing politician. She has been in the news because her husband Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva recently won the general elections in Brazil and she is now going to be the next first lady of Brazil.
In the state of Paraná’s Unio da Vitória, she was born on August 27, 1966. She relocated to Curitiba when she was a little girl. She was also known affectionately as Janja.
She did her schooling at a local school. Later, in 1990, she enrolled in the Federal University of Paraná’s Social Science program and pursued a history specialization there.
In 1983, Rosângela Silva enrolled in the Workers’ Party.
When the politician Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was detained at the Curitiba Federal Police headquarters in 2018, she started dating him. After his release, they married on May 18, 2022, in In So Paulo’s Catholic Bishop Angélico Sândalo Bernardino.
She is currently 56 years old.
Her Career
Since there were no civil service tests available when Rosângela Silva was employed by Itaipu Binacional on January 1st, 2005, she was chosen after a curriculum review and interview.
She coordinated initiatives backed by sustainable development and served as the Director-assistant General at the hydroelectric power plant. She served as Eletrobras in Rio de Janeiro’s institutional affairs and communications adviser from 2012 until 2016.
She went back to Itaipu in 2016. On January 1st, 2020, she formally departed the firm.
