Along with the father-son duo, someone else died as per El Tiempo, however, there is no information about the third person. The tragic crash happened on Las Galeras-Samana highway in Dominican Republic between the two motorcycles. The news of the Astros prospects was announced by the side. Their statement read:

Who was Ronny Garcia?
Ronny Garcia was a Houston Astros prospect who played as a right-handed reliever. The 24-year-old made his minor league debut in Dominican Summer League in 2017.
Ronny Garcia’s 3.42 ERA (71 earned runs/186.2 innings) was his best over his six minor league seasons. 29 games, 34.2 innings, 13 earned runs (3.38 ERA) in 29 outings with Asheville.
From 2017 until 2023, Garcia played with the Astros in the Minor League Baseball (MLB) for a total of seven years. He recorded a 9–15 record during his entire time with the squad.
Garcia did not pitch in 2020 since the minor league season had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the late rising star was called up to the Florida rookie team and the Fayetteville, North Carolina, A-ball team in 2021.
His contract with the York Revolution, an independent team in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, was sealed in February of this year, following his promotion to High-A Asheville the previous season. The season is set ot kick off coming Thusday and the young player’s signing impressed the squad’s management at the time.
The manager described him as an “intriguing young pitcher.” He was really “excited” to train the youngster and looking forward playing him.
