The brother-in-law of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi died in a traffic collision in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, on Saturday. Rakesh Tiwari passed away while his wife Sabita Tiwari suffered serious injuries. The couple was travelling from the Gopalganj region of Bihar to West Bengal at the time of the accident.

Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law Rakesh Tiwari was “brought dead” at the Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) in Dhanbad. He was taken to the hospital shortly after the tragedy. Rakesh’s wife and Pankaj’s sister Sabita Tiwari broke her leg, although she is not in danger, according to SNMMCH Emergency HOD Dr. Dinesh Kumar Gindauria.

Officials claim that when the vehicle lost control and struck a road divider, Tiwari was behind the wheel. A police investigation is presently in progress to determine the precise cause of the collision. According to media sources, Rakesh Tiwari was employed with the Indian Railways and based in Chittaranjan.

Actor Pankaj Tripathi lost his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, in August of last year. His father spent his ninety-nine years in good health. His final rituals were carried out by his family.

Pankaj Tripathi is married to Mridula Tripathi. For the past 17 years, Pankaj Tripathi and Mridula have enjoyed a happy marriage. Following their marriage, they relocated to Mumbai where they welcomed their daughter Aashi Tripathi in 2006.
