The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has unveiled its first list of candidates for the Gujarat assembly elections in 2022, and Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja has been handed a ticket.

On the official list of candidates, Rivaba Jadeja is shown as having been nominated for the Gujarat Assembly’s Jamnagar North constituency. Jadeja joined the ruling BJP in 2019, taking the position of the incumbent contestant from Jamnagar North.
The first list of BJP candidates for the next Gujarat assembly elections in 2022 was unveiled by Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav on Thursday. The list may have included up to 100 names. Gujarat’s chief minister Bhupendra Patel will contest a seat in the Ghatlodiya district.

Who is Ravindra Jadeja’s spouse Rivaba Jadeja?
Rivaba Jadeja is wife of Ravindra Jadeja, a prominent cricketer from India. Before getting married in 2016, the two were already together. Rivaba Jadeja was formerly known as Riva Solanki before she got married. Hardev Singh Solanki and Prafullaba are her father and mother respectively.
Having been born on September 5, 1990, Rivaba Jadeja is currently 32 years old. She has been actively involved in politics where she joined Bhartiya Janta Party in 2019. Moreover, this is the first time where she will be contesting in Gujrat assembly election. From the Jamnagar North district, she intends to contest the Gujarat assembly elections in 2022.
The Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science in Rajkot, Gujarat is where the BJP politician obtained her degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is also related to Congressman Hari Singh Solanki as her niece.
She was appointed as the leader of the women’s division of the right-wing Kashtriya Karni Sena organisation in India last year. Karni Sena gained popularity for planning massive protests against the Deepika Padukone-starring film “Padmaavat” in 2018. Later, in 2019, she joined the Bhartiya Janta Party. She entered politics in an effort to make people answerable for their deeds.
