Racing luminary Carles Falcon met a tragic end after a collision in the Dakar Rally 2024, have a look at his cause of death and age as he died after the accident
The accomplished Spanish rider faced a severe accident during the rallyโs second stage last week.
Falcon, a Catalan participant in his second career appearance in the annual rally race on January 8, suffered a crash near the conclusion of the special stage from Al Henakiyah to Al Duwadimi.

Following the incident, the 45-year-old received immediate assistance and was airlifted to Al Duwadimi hospital for further treatment. He sustained multiple injuries, including a cerebral edema due to the fracture of the C2 vertebra, along with five rib fractures, injuries to the left wrist, and collarbone.
Regrettably, on January 15, his team confirmed his passing, stating, โThis Monday, January 15, Carles left us. The medical team has confirmed neurological damage caused by cardiorespiratory arrest at the time of the accident is irreversible.โ
The statement continued, “Carles was a cheerful person, always active, who passionately enjoyed everything he did, especially motorcycles. He left us pursuing his dream, racing in the Dakar. We must remember him for his smile and the joy he brought to everyone.โ
Who was Carles Falcon?
Falcon, a computer engineer by profession and a motorcycle instructor and travel guide by passion, left a lasting impact. The statement highlighted his patient and energetic teaching style that brought joy to all those who learned alongside him.
Participating in his second Dakar Rally, Falconโs achievement was significant in the context of one of the worldโs longest and most challenging endurance races. Covering 7,891 kilometers from AlUla to Yanbu in Saudi Arabia, the rally includes five major vehicle categories: cars, motorbikes, trucks, UTVs, and quad bikes.

One individual expressed, โMy deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and TwinTrail Racing Team, who have this afternoon confirmed the passing of Carles Falcon.โ Another mournful message read, โDesolate after reading about Carles Falcรณn.
