Premier League CEO has new update on Manchester City’s next hearing regarding the Sky Blues’ 115 financial charges.
Allegations of more than a hundred financial infractions were made against City in February 2023; they allegedly occurred while Sheikh Mansour was in charge, from 2009 to 2018.
Nottingham Forest and Everton have already dropped points this season. A deadline however, has not been decided upon because of the intricacy of City’s argument. The club has pledged to use a team of legal specialists to defend the case.

Meanwhile, the CEO of the English Premier League did update about the next hearing about the situation while attending a press conference for European Leagues. Masters said:
We can’t comment on the case, the date is set. The case will resolve itself at some point in the near future.”

Who is Richard Masters?
Richard Masters is the CEO for English Premier League. The British is the chief executive of the Premier League, the premier association football league in England currently.
A look at Richard Masters’ career and education
Richard attended the Independent Solihull School for his early schooling, where he later developed an affinity for Aston Villa and became the club’s supporter. Later on, he studied for a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Geography at University College London.
He had previously served as the marketing manager for the England and Wales Cricket Board from 1994 to 2000. Additionally, he worked as the English Football League’s commercial director from 2001 to 2006.
Richard moved to the Premier League in 2006 and was given the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. Between January 2006 to November 2018, he held the position for the league.
Masters was appointed Chief Executive of the Premier League in November 2019. After Richard Scudamore resigned from the position in December 2018, the position was filled for a one-year interim period.
