Brian Barczyk passes away
The Reptarium Reptile Zoo announced Brian’s death on Monday, January 15, through an Instagram post. The team bid farewell to the YouTuber and wildlife conservationist through the following statement:
More than the guiding light of our organization, Brian’s fervent passion for reptiles and wildlife, along with his steadfast dedication to education, has touched innumerable hearts and minds globally. Our deepest sympathies are with Brian’s family, his friends, and all those whose lives he has touched.”

Brian Barczyk was an American reptile enthusiast who was born on September 6, 1969. He was also a YouTuber, and founder of the Reptarium Reptile Zoo and Legasea Aquarium. The famous personality tragically passed away on January 15, 2024. He had a highly successful YouTube channel titled AnimalBytesTV and SnakeBytesTV. Brian showcased about working with a variety of reptiles, such as snakes, on his channels. He was 54 years old at the time of his passing.
In 1992, Barczyk married his wife, Lori, and had two children, Noah and Jade and all of them have an active interest in reptiles. In 2023 Barczyk was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer, which he revealed on his vlog and on January 5, 2024 he publicly stated that he would be entering hospice care. He had a net worth of $4 million.
Cause of death
Barczyk had been suffering from a long battle with pancreatic cancer after being diagnosed with the disease over a year ago.
Brian Barczyk bids goodbye
Prior to his death, Brian Barczyk had already come to terms with his death and had already said goodbye to his 5.2 million subscribers. He did this through a video posted on January 5 on YouTube titled This is Goodbye… The video, which was a 16-minute-long video, touched on many things, including a final health update. He claimed to his followers that the next few days would be his last days alive. In the emotional video, Brian Barczyk revealed that he last visited the hospital on January 1. He had to check in after suffering several strokes that affected his vision and caused him to lose function in one hand. Brian Barczyk further shared in the video:
It wasn’t because I gave up. I didn’t give up I was just ready… but my battle is over and in the next few days I’ll be free of pain, I’ll be free of cancer.”
