R’Bonney Gabriel is a well-known American beauty pageant contestant. She has been in the news because she was recently crowned Miss Universe 2022.
Her full name is R’Bonney Nola Gabriel. She was born on March 20, 1994, in Houston, Texas, U.S. Her father’s name is Remigio Bonzon “R. Bon” Gabriel, who is of Filipino descent, while her mother’s name is Dana Walker, who is of American descent. She also has three older brothers.
With a minor in textiles, she earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from the University of North Texas. She currently works as a model and a designer of sustainable apparel.

Her career
R’Bonney Gabriel’s first experience with pageants came when she competed in Miss Kemah USA 2020, where she finished in the Top 5. As Miss Harris County, she participated in Miss Texas USA 2021 and finished as first runner-up to McAllen’s Victoria Hinojosa.
She won Miss Texas USA 2022 before representing Texas in Miss USA 2022, where she later earned the title of Miss USA 2022 and made history by becoming the first Miss USA of Filipino ancestry.
