January 14, 2023, saw the crowning of the 71st Miss Universe winner. As R’Bonney Gabriel made America proud by earning the crown, Miss Venezuela Amanda Dudamel finished as the first runner-up in the international beauty pageant. Additionally, she was the first contestant to place in the Top 5.

The 23-year-old fashion designer is a proponent of sustainability who wants to use her brand to raise awareness of CSR and eco-friendly business practices.

Who is Amanda Dudamel?
Amanda Dudamel is a well-known Venezuelan fashion designer and model. She has been in the news because she finished as the first runner-up in the 71st Miss Universe competition.
She was born in Mérida, Venezuela, on October 19, 1999. Her mother’s name was Nahir Newman Torres, a real estate agent, and her father is Rafael Dudamel, a former football player. She learned to speak English while growing up in many nations due to her parents’ jobs including South Africa, Canada, Colombia, and Chile.
In Rome, she pursued her professional career in fashion design. She had a boyfriend who she knew since when she was 13 years old but they eventually broke up. She had another boyfriend once she broke up but his name is not known.
Her height is 1.80 meters or 5 feet 11 inches. She is currently 23 years old.
Her Career
Amanda Dudamel is the co-founder of the company “Reborn the Brand,” the owner and executive director of her own clothing line, “By Amanda Dudamel,” and the director of the social impact initiative “Emprendiendo e Impactando.”
She is also the Creative Director of the accessories company Made in Petare, which was founded to raise money for the “Un Par Por Un Sueo” charity.
She received the Miss Venezuela 2021 title. She competed for Venezuela in Miss Universe 2022 and finished as the First Runner-Up. Since Gabriela Isler’s victory in 2013, this is Venezuela’s best finish.
