During a recent interview with Flashing Lights rapper, N.O.R.E, Kanye had a conversation about George Floyd which stirred up another controversy.
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, the rapper N.O.R.E, whose real name is Victor James Santiago Jr. is popularly known by his stage name Noreaga. The son of an African American mother and Puerto Rican father, N.O.R.E. he was born in LeFrak City, Queens with his current net worth at $2 million with his height at 1.78m.
Married since 2009, N.O.R.E., and his wife Neri Santiago say the key to their successful marriage is balance.
His stage name N.O.R.E stands for โNiggaz on (the) Run Eatin’.”
Victor started his career in music back in the year 1995. At the time, he went under the pseudonym Noreaga.
Later, he joined hands with a fellow Queens-based rapper Capone. According to reports, he met Capone while serving his time in prison.
The two later signed with Penalty Recordings in 1996 and dropped their debut album The War Report in 1997.
Their debut album received quite positive feedback from viewers as well as critics. It even peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 list.
Their album features songs like Illegal Life, Live On, Live Long, Bloody Money, and T.O.N.Y. (Top of New York).
Later in 1998, Victor started off his solo career as he dropped his album titled ‘N.O.R.E.’ The album features guest appearances from NYC rappers Nas, Kool G Rap, Big Pun, and Busta Rhymes.
The songwriter released his latest album 5E in 2018. It was his seventh album. The album features a total of 11 songs.
Coming back to the rapper’s interview with Kanye, on Sunday appearance on Revolt TV’s ‘Drink Champs’, the rapper interviewed the Good Morning rapper Kanye West.
While having conversation with N.O.R.E, Kanye put out more than 3 and half hours of anti-Semitic rants. During this time he made a few remarks on George Floyd, and some comments on Trevor Noah as well as Diddy.
Throughout the interview, Big Chain rapper challenged Kanye and he was the person who was simply receiving the end of many angry social media posts for his tacit acceptance of many of the comments.
Ye even went on to talk about Flyod’s death. While speaking with N.O.R.E on his podcast, he stated that George passed away because of fentanyl and that the cop’s knee wasn’t on his neck.
Kanye said, “If you look, the guyโs knee wasnโt even on his neck like that.”
Later, on Monday, while appearing on The Breakfast Club, N.O.R.E spoke about his interview with West as he said that he shouldn’t have interviewed the ‘Niggas in Paris’ rapper.
He revealed that, โI made a mistake doing the Kanye interview. I could come out here and say this was Kanyeโs thing and thatโs it.”
He further added that, “I want to be honest. I support freedom of speech. I support anybody not being censored. But I do not support anybody being hurt.”
