China appointed its Ambassador to the United States named Qin Gang as their country’s new foreign minister, as per state media, know his age, profile and family
The 56-year-old Qin Gang replaced Wang Yi, who has been China’s top diplomat for the earlier decade. After Qin Gang’s appointment, he will return to Beijing from Washington after 17 months. His appointment as the new foreign minister came on Friday, 30.12.22.

Qin Gang’s Education And Family
Qin Gang hails from Tianjin and was born in March 1966. 56 year Qin Gang received his degree of Bachelor in Law in international politics from the International Relations University in early 1988. After completing his graduation, Qin Gang worked as a staff member for the Beijing Service Bureau for the Diplomatic Missions. Presently Qin is 56 years old. Qin Gang is married and has one son also but their names are not known. Also, his parent’s and sibling’s names are not known.
Qin Gang Professional Career
Before the appointment of Qin Gang as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he worked as the vice minister of foreign affairs between the years 2018 and 2021, and as the Chinese Ambassador of the United States between the years 2021 and 2022.
He started working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1992. Later on, Qin Gang worked at the Chinese Embassy based in the United Kingdom as Secretary and Counselor from 1995 to 2005. Qin also held the position of Deputy Director-General and the spokesman at the Foreign Ministry Information Department from years 2005 to 2010.
In September 2010, Qin Gang was appointed as the Envoy of the People’s Republic of China to the United Kingdom. The following year, Qin Gang returned to Beijing to work as the director general of the Foreign Ministry Information Department. From 2014 to 2017, he worked as the Director General of the Foreign Ministry Protocol Department. In July 2021, Qin became one of the 11th Ambassadors of the People’s Republic of China to the United States.
