Puneet Dubey, a Ranjit Singh College, Indore student was found dead
On Friday, a young aspirant named Puneet Dubey who was studying for the Madhya Pradesh civil examination was discovered dead in his hostel room under unknown circumstances.

According to reports, 21-year-old Puneet Dubey was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his hostel room. He was dressed in a saree and women’s cosmetics and blindfolded.
21 year old Puneet Dubey was a second-year B.Sc. Computer Science student at Ranjit Singh College in Indore. He was preparing for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) exams.
When the family was not able to contact Puneet, they called their relatives and friends. Puneet’s friends then visited his hostel and found that the room was locked from inside. They then called the local police station and the team when opened the door, Puneet was found hanging to the ceiling.

When the body was discovered, a pool of blood had formed on the floor near it. The authorities added that Puneet’s death is being probed as both a suicide and a murder.
Neighbours noticed a bad odour coming from Puneet’s room and notified the authorities.
Puneet Dubey, who is originally from Udaipura in the state, moved to Indore two years ago to further his education, according to his father, Tribhuvan Dubey.
Tribhuvan, a farmer added that Puneet used to call home every night. He talked to his mother Vibhuti Dubey on Thursday around 10 pm.
According to his father, he used to spend 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the coaching centre.
Investigation is taking place
The police have opened an investigation into the case. Puneet’s laptop, mobile phone, and other belongings have been seized, and his dormitory roommates are also being questioned.
Following the post-mortem examination, Puneet’s body was brought to Udaipura for his last rites. His father has urged the authorities to thoroughly investigate, according to a media report.
“No suicide note was discovered, and an autopsy report could shed light on the exact cause of death,” as per officials. They also added that the student’s death is now being examined as both a suicide and a possible murder.
