Who is Pratik Sinha?
Pratik Sinha is a well-known Indian software developer and journalist.
He was born on April 28 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He is an atheist. His fatherโs name is Mukul Sinha, who was a lawyer and the founder of Jan Sangharsh Manch, while his motherโs name is Nirjhari Sinha, who is a scientist, human rights activist, co-founder of Jan Sangharsh Manch, and director of Pravda Media.
He did his schooling at Prakash Higher Secondary School, Ahmedabad. Later, he attended the Bangalore Institute of Technological University in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to complete his bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Later, he moved to the USA and then Vietnam. He returned to India in 2013. He is currently aged 30 years and is unmarried.
His career
After completing his formal schooling, Pratik Sinha started working at Day Begins Engineering Innovations Pvt. Ltd. He worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Bengaluru’s Ubigtech Software Private Ltd from 2003 to 2005.
He contributed to the creation of a firewall and VPN for Ubiqtech’s flagship product through his work on product design and development. From 2004 until 2009, he was a technical employee with Arada Systems in Bengaluru.
Later, he was employed at Cloudleaf, Inc., as a senior software engineer. In 2009, he started doing contract work in Vietnam for the software development firm Humbug. From August 2013 until February 2014, he was employed as a senior embedded software engineer for ReadMe Systems Inc. in Ahmedabad.
On February 9, 2017, Pratik Sinha and Mohammed Zubair co-founded the Alt News website in Ahmedabad to address the issue of false news. He co-wrote the 2019 book India Misinformed: The True Story, which aims to uncover the propaganda machine, identify the main causes of false news, and teach readers how to spot it.
