For the last three years, Pranshu has adopted the alias “Pranshu” in the aftermath of his parents’ separation. Preeti, his mother and a medical representative, has been his primary caregiver since parting ways with his father, Rajendra Yadav. 16 year old Pranshu attended the Ujjain Public School, and the tragic incident unfolded while Preeti was at work.
Demonstrating his skills as a makeup artist and content creator on social media, Pranshu shared over 300 posts featuring various sarees and dresses. His most recent Instagram post, dated November 12, depicted him in a red saree adorned with traditional jewelry. Unfortunately, this post prompted a deluge of homophobic comments and abuse from online trolls.
What is the reason behind Pranshu’s suicide?
Pranshu Yadav, an aspiring influencer with over 15,000 followers on Instagram, reportedly took his own life on a Tuesday due to the online hate he faced as a queer individual. Alone at home, he allegedly used his mother’s dupatta to hang himself. The police have confiscated Priyanshu’s mobile phone and are actively investigating the motive behind his tragic suicide.
Kamal Singh Gehlot, the officer in charge of Nagjhiri Police Station, stressed the collection of information from Instagram, WhatsApp, & Facebook to ascertain the motives behind the incident. While the precise reason for his suicide is under investigation, reports indicate that Pranshu faced online bullying due to cross-dressing and was targeted with homophobic slurs from trolls. These experiences reportedly led to depression and ultimately compelled him to end his life.
