Who Is Ph-1 Boys Planet 999 rap master and H1GHR Music Rapper, his age, real name, songs, Instagram
Let’s take a look at his career beginnings with Jay Park’s record company because he has come a long way since becoming well-known thanks to Show Me The Money.
Meet Ph-1, The Rap Judge Of Boys Planet
Given his frequent collaborations with the greatest stars in the genre, pH-1 is likely someone you’ve come across if you’ve ever dabbled in K-hip hop.
PH-1, a Korean-American who was born Park Jun-won on July 23, 1989, grew up in Long Island, New York. His stage name was partially inspired by his English name, Harry Park. P, H, and 1 are derived from his last names, Park, Harry, and Won, respectively, in Korean.
Rapping was only a pastime for the aspiring musician, a biology major at Boston College. PH-1 didn’t make the decision to pursue rap as a career until the summer of 2016 when he appeared at a performance organised by a musician buddy in Korea. The performance was Park’s break into the business. Prominent companies including YG’s The Black Label, AOMG, and HIGHGRND got in touch with him. He chose Jay Park’s H1GHR Music and has stayed with the label ever since.
With his H1GHR labelmates Jay Park, Sik-K, and AOMG’s Loco, PH-1 has so far released two studio albums, one EP, and numerous singles. He received widespread acclaim in 2018 for his appearance on Show Me The Money, where he finished fifth despite competing against Nafla and Loopy.
The Truth About Why Profanity Is Absent From Ph-1’s Music
Rap tracks without explicit language or NSFW content are very uncommon, but the 33-year-old has distinguished himself with his sincere tale. Speaking about the lack of profanity in his tracks, pH-1 explains that he is being true to himself and doesn’t use profanity on a regular basis. He told HipHopKr, “I’m not saying it’s wrong if you do. “Write vulgarity if you actually use it. You should write it if that describes your way of life. Be yourself.
Instead, he highlights his “geeky” nature, fascination with technology, and love of anime. “You know, I might mention that in one of my songs. “That is who I am,” he continued.
