The couple met each other in 2016 during an IPL game of Mumbai Indians. At that time Krunal was injured and he was on bed rest which led to both of them meeting each other very often. Pankuri used to bunk her office to him she said in an interview.
After a year in 2017 when Mumbai Indians won their 3rd IPL title, their relationship took a turn. Krunal was the man of the match in the Final of that tournament so he thought it was the right time to propose Pankhuri.
