The victim, identified as Nomaika, bravely shared her harrowing experience on social media, attributing the abuse to Ashfaqe Ishaq Satti, the host of the ‘Bakhabar Savera’ morning show on ARY News.

Nomaika posted pictures depicting severe injuries on various parts of her body, revealing the extent of the inhumane treatment she endured. In a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), she pleaded for help and support, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention due to Satti Ashfaqe’s influential status.
The victim accused her husband of subjecting her to relentless beatings, confinement in a room, and the forcible separation from their son. Nomaika alleged that Satti’s mother was present during the violent incident.
Reports indicate that she underwent a medical examination and subsequently filed a First Information Report (FIR) against her husband.
Nomika Describes Brutal Assault
In a detailed account shared with another TV news anchor, Nomaika described the brutal assault on January 22nd, recounting how she was physically attacked, dragged across the floor, and had her head repeatedly knocked against walls and doors.
She claimed that Satti attempted to choke her, even using a pillow to obstruct her breathing. The victim quoted her husband threatening her life and expressing intent to dispose of her body.
According to Nomaika, she endured hours of abuse before being confined to a dark room without food or water. Despite pleading for mercy and assistance, she was left in distress for days.
The victim managed to escape after a prolonged struggle and sought medical help, leading to the filing of the FIR with the assistance of compassionate individuals.
Despite the FIR, there are concerns about the lack of further action, with Satti Ashfaqe allegedly using his influence to evade consequences. Nomaika, an ordinary woman, appealed for public support and assistance in her pursuit of justice, highlighting the urgent need to address such brutality.
