Adithya Ashok, a 21-year-old leg-spinner hailing from Auckland, has earned a notable breakthrough, securing his maiden ODI call-up to join the Blackcaps squad in a match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He has demonstrated his cricketing skill with outstanding performances for Auckland in the New Zealand domestic circuit.

Adithya Ashok is an Indian-born New Zealand cricketer. He has been in the news because he going to make his ODI debut soon against UAE.
He was born on 5 September 2002 in Vellore, India. He was barely 4 years old in 2006 when his family relocated to Auckland in search of better chances.
Adithya Ashok developed an intense interest in cricket at the age of five after migrating to New Zealand. He did his schooling at Mount Albert Grammar School.
He is currently 21 years old and is a Hindu by religion.
Adithya was four years old when his parents moved to Auckland and was born to a nurse and a cricketer-turned-radiographer. His parents are Ashok Dinakaran and Uma Sethuraman.
His career
Adithya Ashok was included in New Zealand’s team for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup before making his Twenty20 debut. On January 1, 2022, he played for Auckland in the 2021–2022 Ford Trophy, making his List A debut.
On December 17, 2021, he played his first Twenty20 match for Auckland in the Men’s Super Smash of 2021–2022. He was called up for the first time to the New Zealand A cricket team in March 2023 for their first-class series against Australia.
For their series against the United Arab Emirates in July 2023, Adithya Ashok received his first call-up to the New Zealand Twenty20 International (T20I) team.
