The Church of England won’t let Mpho Tutu Van Furth lead a funeral service. According to the BBC, the Church of England won’t let Mpho Tutu van Furth lead the funeral for her late godfather because she is married to a woman and the Church won’t let its clergy be in a same-sex marriage.
Martin Kenyon, who died last week at the age of 92, was going to be buried in a church in Shropshire. The funeral was going to be led by Tutu van Furth. Mpho Tutu van Furth practised as a vicar from January 2004 till she married Marceline van Furth, an atheist, in December 2015.

Who Is Mpho Tutu Van Furth?
Mpho Tutu van Furth was born in London to Nomalizo Tutu, a South African activist, and Desmond Tutu, an Anglican bishop and theologian. This year, she is said to be 59 years old.
