Inter Miami signs the Paraguyan player, age 28 Matias Rojas and here is all you need to know about him
MLS Cup leaders Inter Miami announced a new addition on Tuesday, April 23, one day before the transfer window closed in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
He was trained by Fernando Gago, the current head coach of Chivas in Mexico, while playing for the Brazilian team Corinthians. After less than a year with the organisation and adding noteworthy accomplishments to his resume with Racing de Avellaneda, the squad of his greatest victories, he was granted free agency status.
The new signing was also present at the team’s training session recently.

Who is Matias Rojas?
Matias Rojas is a Paraguyan football player who was born on November 3, 1995 in Asuncion, Paraguay. He was recently added in the Major Soccer League’s Inter Miami and the Paraguyan International Football Team as an attacking midfielder.
The 28-year-old stands 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) tall and is a left footer.
A look at Matias Rojas’ career
Matias has played for several teams before he joined Lionel Messi’s side including 2014–2019 Cerro Porteno, 2017–2018 Lanus on loan, 2018–2019 Defensa y Justicia (loan), 2019–2023 Racing Club and 2023–2024 Corinthians.
In March 2014, he made his Paraguayan Primera Division, Cerro Porteno debut against Nacional. On January 10, 2017, Rojas signed a loan deal with Lanus of the Argentine Primera Division.
Only a few weeks after returning to Cerro Porteno, Rojas left again, agreeing to sign with fellow Argentine Primera División team Defensa y Justicia. In June 2019, he sealed a deal with Racing Club of the Primera Division and departed Cerro Porteno permanently, remaining in Argentina.
Talking about his international career, on March 2, 2019, ahead of the team’s friendlies against Peru and Mexico that month, Eduardo Berizzo called the midfielder up to the Paraguay national team.
He made his debut as a substitute in second half against Peru after which he was called for 2019 Copa America in May and later made it to the official squad.

Matias Rojas’ reported transfer value is €3.9 million. His 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season will mark the end of his free agent contract, which has club options for 2025 and 2026.
