About Raven Saunders
Born on May 15, 1996, Raven Saunders, is an American track and field athlete. Growing up in Charleston, South Carolina, Saunders excelled in shot put and discus throw during their collegiate career.
Raven won various NCAA titles at both Southern Illinois and Ole Miss. Standing at 5 ft 5 in (165 cm), Raven is widely known for being the World junior silver medalist, who bagged the medal in 2014.
A year later, they bagged a Pan American junior championships. Raven Saunders holds a personal record of 19.96 m in shot put.
A fierce advocate for racial justice and mental health awareness, Saunders is also an outspoken supporter of non-binary identities and has shared their struggles with depression.
