Constance Marten and Mark Gordon along with their newborn baby went missing earlier this year after their car got broken down and caught fire on the M61 motorway.
After the couple got arrested, Constance and Mark, police continued their investigation for their missing baby whose body has been found on Wednesday afternoon.

The Met Police said, “This is an outcome that we and other officers who had been part of this investigation had hoped would not happen.”

Who is Mark Gordon?
Mark Gordon, who is 48 years old as of 2023, has quite a different background and history of his family to his partner. Being 13 years older than Constance, Mark hails from Birmingham and was the only child of his parents. Mark further shifted to Florida with his mother and half-siblings.
Mark Gordon’s crimes and convictions
Aged just 15 years in 1990, Mark got arrested and also was found guilty of kidnapping and sexual battery. He was then sentenced to prison for 20 years and he was deported back to the UK in 2010.
Where were Mark Gordon and Constance Marten found?
On the 27th of February, 54 days after they went on the run, the duo was found and arrested in Brighton after a tip-off from a member of the public. They both were found in a residential street before 9:30 pm, sadly, the baby was not with them.
Constance and Mark Gordan both refused to cooperate with police officials over the whereabouts of their child whose body was unluckily found near where they were arrested.
“Then police officers searching a wooded area close to where Constance and Mark Gordon got arrested and discovered the remains of a baby,” told Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford of the Metropolitan Police.
