Mark Driscoll, a distinguished executive at NASDAQ and native of Fairfield, sadly passed away on Monday, 5th February 2024, at the age of 54. He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Cotter Driscoll, and will have his life honored in a Christian burial mass at St. Pius X Church on Friday, February 9 at 12 p.m., before being laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Mark Driscoll was a renowned American personality in the financial sector. He has been in the news because he sadly passed away on Monday, 5th February 2024, at the age of 54.
He was a native of Fairfield, Connecticut, USA. His academic career included The Mercersburg Academy (1986–1988), where he was a standout football and lacrosse player, and St. Bonaventure University (1988–1992), where he received a B.A. in marketing and was involved in NCAA Division I lacrosse.
Later, from 2016 to 2017, Mark Driscoll improved his abilities at The Wharton School, where he concentrated on earning the Business Administration and Management Essentials of Management Certificate.
At the time of his death, he was 54 years old and was married with four children.
His career
Mark Driscoll has held a number of important positions in the financial technology sector. After working for State Street Bank for two years as an Associate Fund Accountant (December 1992 to August 1994), he moved to Interactive Brokers and worked there for five years as an Equity Options Trader (September 1994 to September 1999).
Next, for four years (Sep 1999–Dec 2003), Mark made a substantial contribution to Bloomberg LP’s West Coast Sales-Tradebook team. After that, he joined Deutsche Bank as Vice President of Electronic Trading (Dec 2003–Sep 2006) and had a vice president post at Lehman Brothers for a very short time.
Mark Driscoll worked as Tradingscreen Inc.’s Sales Director from February 2007 to April 2014. Mark’s journey at NASDAQ began in May 2014, where he progressed through roles such as Lead Sales Executive, and Principal Sales Executive. Until his death, he was serving as the Associate Vice President-Market Technology.
