The son of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, age 31 Junaid Khan, will make his feature film debut in Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) upcoming picture Maharaj

The movie will debut on Netflix on June 14, 2024. But even before it released, the movie is embroiled in a contentious issue.

Last month, the Maharaj film’s creators released the movie’s first look posters, which starred Junaid Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. After then, though, no teaser or trailer for the movie have been released. Additionally, protestors have been criticising the movie even before it was released.

Maharaj is based on a libel case from 1862, in which religious leader Jadunathji Brijratanji Maharaj is said to have sued journalist and reformer Karsandas Mulji. Maharaj was a follower of the Hindu group known as the Vallabhacharya Sampradaya, whose beliefs were called into doubt in a defamatory article written by Karsandas Mulji.

Junaid Khan’s family and education

31-year-old Junaid Khan was born on 2 June in 1993 to Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena Dutta. He is 6ft 1in tall. Kiran Rao is Junaid Khan’s step mother. He has two siblings named Azad Khan and Ira Khan.

He graduated from the HR College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai after completing his education at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. He then travelled to Los Angeles to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for his studies.

Junaid Khan career

Junaid Khan is making his big screen debut soon. Junaid will play a journalist in the historical drama Maharaj on Netflix. It’s interesting to note that Junaid first entered the production industry before making his acting debut.

He is slated to produce Pritam Pyare, which will have a five-minute cameo by Aamir Khan. In addition, Junaid and co-star Khushi Kapoor will appear in the Tamil film Love Today, which is a remake.

Junaid hasn’t been photographed by Mumbai paparazzi as much as other star youngsters. From the little images and videos, we have seen of him, he appears to be the man who gets unintentionally photographed by paparazzi or is captured on camera when he is with his father.

To set himself apart from the nepo-kids that follow a predetermined path when making their cinematic debut, Junaid hasn’t even done any interviews as of now, and we haven’t seen him endorsing any companies.
