As per the reports, Galfy was a partner in the Kochanski, Baron & Galfy law firm in Rahway, New Jersey. Galfy was a well-known lawyer. From 1965 until 1970, he was a major with the 24th Infantry Division, JAGC, in the US Army. He graduated from Seton Hall with a bachelor’s degree and a law degree, respectively.

According to the documentary, Lawrence met Galfy in Times Square and was invited back to stay in the guest room of Galfy’s house because he was homeless.

The Sun reports that Lawrence afterwards claimed he killed Galfy in self-defence after stating the latter tried to assault him. However, according to later testimony from the medical examiner, Galfy’s injuries were caused by “much more than just a struggle to stop a sexual advance,” according to AP News.

Is Kai Lawrence Still Currently In Jail?

Yes, Lawrence is currently serving a 57-year term in Trenton’s New Jersey State Prison after a jury convicted him guilty of first-degree murder.

Despite the fact that the case was discovered and an arrest was made mere months after Lawrence became a viral star in 2013. The verdict was rendered in April 2019 after a four-week trial.

According to The Sun, Lawrence will be released in October 2061 and won’t be qualified for parole until he has completed 85% of the 57-year term.
